The Double Chocolate Truffle is yet another round bonbon, wrapped in a generous outer layer of freshly roasted and crushed almonds, and chocolate shavings. The next stratum in this decadent sphere is - you guessed it - chocolate! Smooth and creamy, thick enough to carry the form of the truffle. The center of the bonbon is where the second chocolate layer resides. It is chewier and fuller in texture, a bit more airy and porous, adding to the intricate overall composition of the Double Chocolate truffle.
